Corrections policy
We distinguish allegations from findings, preserve source dates and identify unavailable records. Substantive errors are corrected in the relevant structured record and regenerated across affected pages. A correction should explain what changed and why; an editorial-review date must never be presented as a new police announcement.
We will remove unnecessary private identifying information and correct material factual errors when supported by reliable evidence. Neither a request from an interested party nor a circulating social-media claim is itself proof of an error.
